Good starting point for the second exam

Been through this book and the one before it (70-346), and going to take the 347 exam as soon as I complete the 346 exam. I studied both books one after together so I could get everything as a complete package, and because I actually manage a hybrid ex2010 / o365 environment so the info comes in handy. This book will provide you with a excellent foundation for the exam. The information in the book is laid out in a nice logical manner with plenty of screen shots. The author does a good job of explaining the material in a easy way. You should not have a problem following the book.

That being said, before you take the exam you should have some hands on experience to help with the concepts and I always recommend some additional exam prep like exam practice exams to ensure that you have everything down. Write down and really know your powershell commands.

While it does has a lot of information there are ...

While it does has a lot of information there are some glaring errors in the information (one example that comes to mind is in one of the questions at the end of the section. Two answers are the same word for word but only one of them is correct according to the book) and in the presentation (sentences just end without making any sense). Not to mention the test has recently changed so this book is out of date (hard to keep a book about cloud technology in date really).

If the book gets updated I would then give it 4 stars as I would hope the errors would also be corrected.

Don't waste your money

I bought this book from a different source so not going to come up as verified but if you try to pass the test with this book you will fail.
The material is ridiculously outdated and some of it is outright wrong.
The Q and A has glaring gramatical errors, repeated answers, spelling mistakes and more.
Don't waste your money, I'm not sure how I'm going to study for this test now but I know this book will make for great kindling at my next camp fire.

Great book, Deserves more attention

This book gives much hope for the future and an interesting blueprint of how life can be if we let creativity flourish. Lars examines society/civilisation all the way from cavemen till what we are today. A long the way you get insights into why some civilisations failed where others succeeded. He then delves deeper into why we fail and why we succeed. Very interesting read and would recommend to everyone who cares about a successful future.

A strong hypothesis on biblical Israel

This book is the gem of Kamal Salibi's scholarly work on which he later built all of his biblical research. According to the notable historian, he had examined all the maps of Palestine as well as the maps of the Hijaz (Western Saudi Arabia) and Assir (north Western Yemen) and has come to the conclusion that the latter map corresponds more accurately to the geography of pre-exile biblical Israel and Judea. Through etymological evidence and by cross-examining the biblical evidence with the scarce accounts of other civilizations, Salibi relocates the map of ancient Israel from Palestine to Arabia. Salibi believes that the names of the villages of modern day Palestine that correspond to biblical names are either by mere coincidence or were a later add on.
The book is perhaps one of the very few that talk about pre-historic Arabian mythology at the time Saudi authorities ban all archaeological expeditions in the region. Salibi was fortunate to have had trips to the area where he examined its culture and geography and sealed off his hypothesis that events of the Old Testament did not take place, as commonly believed, in Palestine but rather on the western Red Sea coast and its corresponding hinterland of Arabia.
Even though Salibi's work has been rejected by many scholars, some due to political reasons, it still provides solid proof and evidence that cannot be matched by those who deny his theory. Future scholarship might one day endorse his hypothesis.

Asir in Saudi Arabia, not Palestine, is the Hebrew's land

The author shows an in-depth understanding of the consonantal languages of the Near East. His suggested translations of some of the known texts of the Bible makes linguistic sense. As a person who is very fluent in Arabic, I am very impessed by his treatemt of some of the Hebrew words that that had no vowels and how these words where mistakenly translated in the present day Hebrew Bible. The mistreatment of this book by Jewish scholars and publishers shows a great disservice to society and humanity.

Well documented and very convincing.

I have read the book. I have been to Saudi Arabia and bought detailed maps of the area in question to verify what the Author was claiming and it really fits. It is well worth reading and should be widely distributed. It does not change the validity and importance of religion. In the end one is left with a feeling that the fighting in Israel-Palestine is futile and senseless. The land is being used as an excuse - this book shows that it is the wrong piece of land, Judaism originated elsewhere. It also explains why there are (were) relatively speaking so many Jews in Yemen, Ethiopia, etc... there was migration in all directions from West Arabia. About the Author

Barbara Shwom, Ph.D., is Professor of Instruction in Writing at Northwestern University, where she teaches in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Kellogg School of Management, and McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science. For more than 30 years, she has designed and taught communication courses that have influenced this textbook, including Writing in Organizations, Communicating Complex Data, Engineering Design and Communication, and How to Become an Expert in Roughly 10 Weeks. Professor Shwom’s teaching at Northwestern has been recognized by both an outstanding teacher award and an appointment as a fellow of Northwestern’s Searle Center for Teaching Excellence. Professor Shwom has gained industry experience as the managing principal of Communication Partners, a consulting practice that works with clients from a range of industries, including biotechnology, high tech research and development, pharmaceuticals, management consulting, market research, financial services, engineering, and consumer products. Professor Shwom’s research interests include evolving genres of business communication, visual communication of data, and methods of persuasion. In addition to many articles, she is also the co-author of a textbook on graphics and visual communication for managers. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Association for Business Communication and the editorial review board of Business and Professional Communication Quarterly and has served as president for both the Association for Business Communication and the Association of Professional Communication Consultants.

Lisa Gueldenzoph Snyder, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Business Education and Interim Associate Dean in the School of Business and Economics at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro. She earned a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where she also received a master’s degree in Business Education. Her Bachelor of Science in Business Education is from Northern Michigan University. Dr. Snyder is widely published in journals such as the Business Communication Quarterly, Journal of Business Communication, Business Education Digest, , and NABTE Review. She has made over 150 presentations at local, regional, and national professional development events, workshops, and conferences. Dr. Snyder received the Meada Gibbs Outstanding Teacher Award from the Association for Business Communication, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Business Education program at Bowling Green State University. She also has received the Innovative Instructional Practices Award from Delta Pi Epsilon, the Distinguished Service Award from the Ohio Business Teachers Association, and the Collegiate Teacher of the Year Award from both the North Carolina Business Education Association and the Southern Business Education Association. Dr. Snyder is also a Regional Vice President of the Association for Business Communication, National President of the Association for Research in Business Education, Research Coordinator for the National Association for Business Teacher Education, and the Past-Chair of the Policies Commission for Business and Economic Education.

I purchased this book for a friend that needed it for school at a substantially lower price than the campus bookstore. It was exactly what the professor required for the class, arrived in a shrink wrap (brand new) and was shipped very quickly - I love Prime! The description was accurate and my friend is thankful it was available at a better price with fast shipping. His worry of receiving the incorrect book was unfounded.

He had considered renting this book for his business communication class but decided that it might serve him well to have it as a reference tool for the future. Oddly enough I still use my business communication book from time to time so it seemed like a reasonable idea. Otherwise, renting would have been an awesome and even more affordable option.

This is one of those items that I wouldn't need to buy again, but this experience proved that there are many more AFFORDABLE options available other than the campus bookstore.

Kimber M. Quinney is adjunct faculty in the Department of History at California State University, San Marcos. Thomas J. Cesarini is the founder and executive director of Convivio, a nonprofit organization for Italian humanities. Their aim is to relive―and revive―the history of San Diego’s Little Italy. Book royalties will benefit Convivio and its affiliate, the Italian Historical Society of San Diego.

Great Book!

Great book was born and raised in San Diego was able to walk down memory lane while reading. Would recommend to any interested in San Diego and it's early inhabitants.
